How to cancel a request

Cancelling a request in Collect will deactivate the client’s portal and stop all automated email follow-ups. This is useful if a request is no longer needed or was sent by mistake.

There are several ways to cancel a request — either individually or in bulk.

Cancelling multiple requests

To cancel several requests at once:

  1. Go to the campaign dashboard
  2. Use the checkboxes on the left side of the request list to select one or more requests
  3. Once selected, a submenu will appear at the top
  4. Click the Change status button (flag icon)
  5. In the status menu that appears, scroll down and select Cancel request
  6. Confirm by clicking Change status in the bottom-right of the popup

This will deactivate all selected portals and stop further communication to those clients.

Cancelling a single request

You have two options for cancelling an individual request:

Option 1: From the campaign list view

  1. In the campaign dashboard, locate the request you want to cancel
  2. Click the three dots icon on the right side of the request row
  3. Select Cancel from the dropdown
  4. Confirm by clicking Yes, cancel it! in the confirmation popup

Option 2: From the request detail view

  1. Open the specific request
  2. Click Actions (top-right)
  3. Select Change status from the dropdown
  4. Scroll down and choose Canceled
  5. Confirm by clicking Change status in the popup

You can also click directly on the status of the request.

Once a request is canceled:

  • The portal becomes inaccessible to the recipient
  • All automated reminders and follow-up emails are stopped

Need to restart a canceled request? You’ll need to resend it or duplicate it as a new one.
