# How to use element templates

**Element templates** in Collect help you save time and ensure consistency by reusing pre-configured elements—like documents, forms, e-signatures, tasks, or pages—across campaigns and requests.

### What are element templates?
Element templates are reusable versions of individual elements you’ve configured. Instead of rebuilding the same element multiple times, you can save it once and insert it whenever you need it—either in a campaign or in an individual request.

### How to save an element as a template

###### Step-by-step:
* In the **campaign builder**, open the element you want to save (e.g., a document or form).
* Click the **Settings** button (top right of the element block).
