# What is the maximum file size for documents uploads in Collect?

When collecting documents from your clients using Collect, you can define file size limits for each Document block — or allow uploads of any size within the platform’s limits.

## Default upload limit

By default, Collect supports file uploads of up to **2 GB per file** for users on a **paid plan**.

This allows clients to easily upload large files such as:
* High-resolution PDFs    
* Detailed financial reports    
* Multimedia files (images, videos, etc.)

## Customizing file size limits

When configuring a **Document block**, you can set specific file size restrictions in the **Advanced settings**:
* Leave the field empty to allow **any file size** (up to the 2 GB limit)    
* Set a **maximum file size** (e.g., 50 MB) if you want to restrict uploads    
* Optionally, define a **minimum file size** if the document must meet certain content or quality thresholds

This helps you control upload behavior and avoid overly large or incomplete files.
