# What type of elements can I add to my client portal?

With Collect’s **campaign editor**, you can build a customized client portal by adding different types of elements — each designed to guide, inform, or collect information from your clients.

These elements help you structure your onboarding or document collection process in a way that’s clear, collaborative, and easy to follow.

You can add the following types of elements:
* **Text blocks**
* **Document requests**
* **Forms**
* **Tasks**
* **Pages**
* **Sections**

Let’s explore what each element does and how you can use them.

## 📄 Text Blocks

**Text elements** allow you to add static content to your portal — perfect for providing instructions, setting expectations, or sharing context.

###### Use cases:
* Welcome or introduction messages
* Step-by-step instructions
* Links to external resources

Each text block includes a rich text editor that supports:
* Text formatting
* Hyperlinks
* Images and videos
* File attachments (up to 5 per block)

You can also use text blocks to share documents with your client by making them available for download.

## 📥 Document Requests

Use **Document elements** when you need your client to upload files. These blocks allow you to collect specific documents in a structured way.

You can:
* Name each document request
* Add a description or instructions
* Set file type requirements
* Mark uploads as required or optional

You’ll be able to see which documents have been submitted in real time.

## 📝 Forms

**Forms** are used to collect information from clients using structured fields. Ideal for cases where you need data, not files.

###### Examples:
* Contact details
* Business info
* Surveys or questionnaires

You can choose from multiple field types (text, dropdowns, checkboxes, etc.) and make specific fields required for submission.

## ✅ Tasks

**Tasks** are checklists you can create for your clients — useful for guiding them through steps that don’t involve forms or file uploads.

Each task block can include multiple individual to-dos, such as:
* “Schedule a call with your onboarding manager”
* “Review the welcome pack”
* “Confirm your billing address”

Clients can check off tasks as they complete them, giving both sides visibility into progress.

## 📄 Pages

**Pages** help you divide your portal into separate screens or steps. Each page can contain its own combination of elements (like text, documents, forms, and tasks).

This allows you to:
* Present information in a clear, step-by-step flow
* Organize content by theme or phase
* Prevent information overload

You can add as many pages as you need and rearrange them at any time.

## 📁 Sections

**Sections** group multiple pages and elements under a common heading — perfect for larger or more complex workflows.

For example, you might create sections for:
* Legal & Compliance
* Product Setup
* Payment & Invoicing

Sections make your portal easier to navigate and help you apply logic (such as visibility conditions) across larger parts of your flow.
