How to have different languages for your emails and Collect portal

If you want to provide your clients with a fully localised experience — including the portal content, forms, and email notifications — you can set up different language versions using Brandings and separate campaigns.

How language works in Collect

The language of your portal and emails is determined by the Branding assigned to the campaign. Each branding includes language-specific settings for:
Portal labels and system text
Email content (follow-ups, reminders, etc.)
Button text and instructions

Because of this, if you're working with clients in multiple languages, you'll need to create a separate campaign for each language.

Step-by-step: Setting up multi-language campaigns

Here’s how to create campaigns in multiple languages with minimal effort:

1. Create your campaign in the first language

Start by building your full campaign in the primary language (e.g., French).
Add all your portal elements — forms, documents, tasks, and pages — and make sure it’s complete.

2. Duplicate the campaign

Once your first campaign is ready, duplicate it to reuse the same structure.
This avoids having to manually recreate each element from scratch.

3. Translate the content

Go through the duplicated campaign and update all text content to the second language (e.g., English):
Headline and side note
Form questions and instructions
Task labels
Text blocks
Email templates

4. Assign the appropriate Branding

Switch the branding of the translated campaign to match the target language (e.g., a Branding set to English). This will ensure system messages and emails are in the correct language.

Repeat for additional languages

You can repeat this process for as many languages as you need. Each translated campaign will:
Use the same structure and logic
Be fully localised for a specific audience
Maintain consistent formatting and branding

Using this duplication method helps you save time, reduce errors, and deliver a tailored experience to every client — no matter their language.
