How to organize your portal with pages and sections

A well-structured portal helps your clients stay focused, complete tasks more easily, and move through your workflow with clarity. In Collect, you can organize your portal using Pages and Sections to break content into manageable, logical steps.

Why Split Your Portal into Multiple Pages?

Presenting everything on a single page can quickly become overwhelming — especially when your campaign includes many tasks, forms, or document requests.

Using multiple pages helps you:
Reduce cognitive load and improve clarity
Encourage clients to take action one step at a time
Prevent fatigue or procrastination
Create a smoother, more professional experience

Think of each page as a “step” in your onboarding or collection process.

Introducing Sections: Organize by Phase or Theme

Sections allow you to group related pages together. This is ideal for:
Multi-phase processes (e.g., Setup, Compliance, Billing)
Separating internal vs. client-facing content
Handling multiple teams or departments in the same flow

Each section can contain one or more pages, and clients will only see what’s relevant to them.

How to Add Pages and Sections

When creating a new campaign, you’ll start by adding your first element. Once you’ve done that, you can begin organizing your flow with pages and sections.

To add a new page:

Click the “Add element” button.
Select Page.
Give your new page a title (e.g., “Company Info” or “Step 2: Agreements”).

If it’s your first time adding a page, you can also rename the default page by clicking its title, typing your new name, and pressing Enter to save.

To create a section:

Click the “Add element” button.
Select Section
Name your section (e.g., “Phase 1 – Kickoff”).
Add or move pages into the section using drag-and-drop.

Sections can contain as many pages as needed, and help keep your structure clean and organized.

Reordering and Deleting Pages

You can easily manage the layout of your portal using the campaign editor:
Reorder pages by clicking and dragging the handle (☰) next to the page name.
Delete a page by clicking the context menu (⋯) on the right and selecting Delete.

Navigating Across Pages

Once you’ve added multiple pages, navigation becomes simple:
Use the left-hand menu in the client to jump between pages.
When clients view the portal, they’ll see the current page title at the top.
Their progress is tracked as they complete tasks on each page.

Organizing your portal with pages and sections not only improves the client experience — it also makes your internal workflows easier to manage.
