How to use element templates

Element templates in Collect help you save time and ensure consistency by reusing pre-configured elements—like documents, forms, e-signatures, tasks, or pages—across campaigns and requests.

What are element templates?

Element templates are reusable versions of individual elements you’ve configured. Instead of rebuilding the same element multiple times, you can save it once and insert it whenever you need it—either in a campaign or in an individual request.

How to save an element as a template

Step-by-step:
  • In the campaign builder, open the element you want to save (e.g., a document or form).
  • Click the Settings button (top right of the element block).

  • Select the Template section in the menu.

  • Click Save as template.

  • Enter a name for your template.
  • Choose a visibility setting: Private (only you can use the template) or Team (shared with your team

How to use a saved template

  • Select the template you want to use to instantly create a pre-filled element.

In an existing request:
  • Open the request detail page.
  • Add a new element (document, form, etc.) using the Add an element option.
  • Once the element is added, click Settings (top right of the element).
  • Go to the Template section.
  • Choose the template you want to apply—it will replace the content of the current element.
